Chinese character for listening 聽 consists of three characters:
- the character for ear
- the character for eye, and
- the character for heart

Chinese characters are really picturegrams: they are pictures that have evolved to describe a certain situation. Therefore, listening means: When one listen with the heart, the ear worth ten eyes. I like this character and concept so much, and I need to put into practice.

I must listen with ears, look (not stare) at the person that talk to me and most importantly, listen with my heart.

Wisdom

Recently, I watched a TVB drama series La Femme Desperado女人唔易做. I like this series and there was one sentence in the series that attract my attention and make me think about it very thoroughly...and the sentence is 人老得太快,但智慧卻來得太迟. This sentence is a bit sad, but it is very true.

There are lots of clever or smart people in this world. Some people just born to be a clever or smart person. But, it is undeniable that not all smart/clever people are wise person. Clever or smart is something come with one person, but wise will only come to one person through experiences, thinking, background, perception etc.

I always have one very utmost important birthday wish....while I am one year older, I wish I am one year wiser also. :)

人生有几多个十年,最紧要痛快

I think this sentence sounds and looks familiar to lots of people who are addicted to Rosy Business 巾幗梟雄. But I'm not going to talk about my view of this drama anyway.

Today, my colleague told me about a sentence she heard from radio. That sentence is "We came to this world with tears (baby crying), and we left the world with others tears (the people who know you crying). So, while we are alive, cheer every moment and make sure our life is full with laughters".

This is very meaningful. So, laugh as much as you can.

My favourite cartoon characters + comics

I would like to talk about my favourite cartoon characters and the comics that I like the most...
No doubts, I like to read comics like any other kids do. Among all the comics, Detective Conan, Doraemon and "Lao Fu Zhi" are my favourite. I'm still love these 3 comics even now...they are my all time favourite. The first comic that came to my life is "Lao Fu Zhi". This comic is very simple yet meaningful. The author only use 4 boxes to finish each stories. If you ever read this comic, you will be amazed by how smart and sense of humour does this author posses. He is able to convey his message in just 4 little boxes...not long long story. Doraemon is the second comic that came to me. This cartoon character is just too cute. I'm sure he is the idol for most kids. He bring happiness to almost everyone who read this comic...but he has a sad story behind him. I ever wonder why he is so scared of rats and I knew it about 2 - 3 years ago. In fact, he has a pair of ears like his sister. He is in yellow initially...there was one day his ears been eaten by rats and he was too depress until became blue. This remind me that nobody is perfect in this world and it is these beautiful imperfection that make life perfect.
I start to cultivate my interest in Detective Conan while I was pursueing my tertiary education in KL. My housemate rent the comics and I borrow from her. Then, I start to addicted to this comic.
Now, reading comics become one of my ways to keep me relaxing besides exercise. I feel by reading, not only comics, one can relax his/her mind and at the same time, learn some lessons.
